New Preset Offer

Lately, I've had quite a few people coming to my blog for Lightroom Presets. All my links had expired and I have been to busy to fool with reposting them.
However, I do see where there is a lot of traffic for the presets, and who am I not to give the people what they want? So I chose my favorites ones I have created and uploaded them HERE. Enjoy!

Blogiversary & Giveaways

Today is my blog anniversary or my "blogiversary". I've had the blog for 3 years now. I originally intended it to be place where I would post photos of the munchkins and news for our family that live away from us. It has evolved into so much more for me.
Although lately I don't seem to have the time to update as much as I'd like, the blog is always a thought in my day. I hope this winter to post more often, especially more personal, family centered items once I'm done with all my fall photo editing. This has become a showcase not only of our lives, but for my photography, a place for me to share my passion.
I want to thank all my family and friends who visit this blog and give me a reason to keep it updated and were the inspiration for this in the first place.
And, to honor the photography aspect of the site, I'm offering all the presets I have released before, as well as a new set.
I get lots of traffic to my blog for the LightRoom Presets I offer, so I thought it was appropriate to release my favorites. The new set has 3 of my favorite presets, though I use DramaBaby2 more then the others by far.
You can also download the previous sets here:

Leave me a comment and let me know which presets is your favorite!
Enjoy!

RME & Goodies

First, just a quick note and plea... I sign up for Revolution Money Exchange (RME) the other day because they have a great offer right now, through April 15th. RME is trying to be the next Paypal, and is trying to get people to sign up. They are offering $25 to anyone who signs up and $10 (up to $500/month) for any friend referral. I was skeptical, but I couldn't find anything negative about them on the net. So I signed up and yesterday I received over $100 in my checking account. Obviously, I would love to get more friend referrals, so if it sounds interesting to you, please click the button below!
Refer A Friend using Revolution Money Exchange

Now on to the goods. I have created some new LightRoom Presets. The sample is below. I'm really happy with how these turned out and used a couple of them on the previous maternity post. I am posting them free until tomorrow at 8pm CST. After that, I will be charging $5 for the set, payable through Paypal or RME. Although I would love to always give them away, the DH is on my case about money these days, and I thought this might be a way to help out a bit. So, anyway, here is the link which will be valid until 8pm CST Friday night.
*EDITED:
LINK EXPIRED- Please contact me at jsdevoe@charter.net if you are interested in purchasing the presets. Please include whether you would like to be billed the $5.00 fee through Paypal or RME. I will email the presets to you as soon as payment clears.

Cold-weather fun

I knew there was a reason we moved to Minnesota. We went snowtubing with some of our friends for as a treat from the great people I work with at Tri-M. We had a blast!
I used my evening preset on these, to give them an instant vintage feel.
John and Bodie...

Hi Mom!

Steve is just chillin'...

My sister, Lo...

The best part of the whole thing is that there was a rope to take you back up to the top. It was like a ski-lift for the snowtubes. Here's Bodie hanging on to the rope...

John getting some air...

Scott and Cory's beautiful snow princess...

Scott was rockin' it...

Tye brought his friend from class and we could barely keep up with the 2 of them. Here's a glimpse I caught of Tye...

Steve and the girls...

And a shot of the whole gang, compliments of Nicki B.

Playing with textures and presets

I wanted to play with some of the presets I made and adding texture overlays. I really love this look, and think it would be really fun for senior photos. For this one I used the Shamrock preset. I think its cool what it did to the purple wall color (see the original coloring on the post below). I really like the urban acid feel of it. I added the Texture layer, set on Hard light.

For this one I used a preset I haven't given away yet, called Morning Kiss. It's a bit of a brightening action, but with a cool tone. The purple wall turned blue, giving it a different feel. Once again, I used a textured overlay layer, set on Soft light.

Bodie, a buckle, and a blog treat.

I asked Bodie if I could take some pictures of him, and surprisingly, he agreed.
First he gives me his "model" face (notice the squinty eyes)...

...which he finds very funny...

Then his goofy smile...

This one's my fave.

Here I used my Bodalicious LR preset...

Here's my Drama King LR preset.

John found this belt for Bodie the other night. It was John's when he was little. Bodie has been wearing it non-stop ever since. I think he would wear it to bed if I let him.

Drama King again.

Now for the treat. I combined my favorite presets into one zip file.

You can download them here (<---*expired* ---See new post here for link).
