Scrapfest at MOA

This past weekend was Scrapfest at the Mall of America. I went with Kathey and Laura from Tri-M, the LSS right around the corner. This was my third time to Scrapfest.I had a great time and it was fun to have a girls weekend. We did lots of Make and Takes an I got my picture with Tim Holtz (with Kathey), the creator of one of my favorite scrapbooking products- Distress Inks.

And here I am with Marah Johnson from Creative Imaginations. She comes up with awesome projects.

Here are 2 recent layouts and a few Easter pictures finally. We did all our eggs with just 2 colors this year, but only because I ran out of vinegar. and I promise that Bodie was wearing shorts in the picture of him with his basket!!!!!

My Good Luck Charm

Here is my latest creation:
Mostly from the Jenni Bowlin March kit. I love this kit! Somewhere on her blog she mentioned one of her inspirations was mint chocloate chip, and I think this is the kit she was referring to. Yummy colors, perfect for March. Also, check out Shanna's layout made with this kit. Very nice and a great use of all the patterened paper from the kit. I also entered this into the challenge for Making Memories, which I learned about from Shanna's blog.

Tye is starting to get a little jealous, because I have been doing so many layouts of Bodie. I reminded him of 2 things.
1. He doesn't let me take pictures of him anymore like Bodie does.
2. He already has about 3 full scrapbooks of his pictures, and I have yet to fill 1 for Bo.
Maybe he will let me take more pictures of him now and stop grimacing eveytime I pull out the camera.

My 3 latest layouts on Ebay are ending tonight. but I'm so tired I don't think I can stay up to see how they turn out. The 2 page layout of "Park Life" will sell, but no bids yet on the others. That's ok though- I'm just so happy someone actually wants my stuff. I can't believe it!

Paper Bag Challenge!

Jenny K. at Inspiring swaps challenged us to create a paperbag album. I made this one tonight. I used the DCWV 8x8 stack from Joann's.

Scrappin'

I spent the weekend with my sister and got a few layouts done.

The first one is Tye from his surgery almost 2 years ago. The 2 pictures on the left side of the layout are hinged and open to reveal journaling space. I've been wanting to do this one for a long time, but just couldn't figure out what to do. But once I figured out I wanted the stencils, the rest was fairly easy. my goal is to get several layouts done, then try to submit them and get published. I have been teaching a few classes and lessons at the local scrapbook store, but I think I'm ready for the next step.

I also love this one of Tye after he lost his 2 front teeth. I had the tooth brads for a long time, and was very happy to finally get to use them. I also love the "lost" made from Type writer keys. I really like the feel they give.

The one of my mom was really easy. I've been dying to try to just do lots of flowers, but with 2 boys, how often do I get to try that? In the corner is a nice rub-on(G for Grandma).

The last one is a scraplift of one I saw on 2 peas, but I think it's perfect for this picture of Bodie. He really is such a ham and poses so nicely! Tye on the other hand ifs going througha phase swhere he only wants to make goofy faces or not take pictures at all. I know I need to take more right now, because the day is comng too soon when neither boy will let me photograph them.
