The Kings

This family was gracious enough to let me do a re-shoot of them. I had taken some photos of them during a big family reunion shoot, but theors did not turn out as well as the others. I was much more pleased with these ones.

Does it get better than that?

It's Back to School Time!

And I'm doing a happy little jig! This was the beautiful sight that brought a small, joyful tear to my eye Tuesday morning:

Here they are in the new duds. Apparently choosing the right outfits for the first day is still as important as when I was a kid.
Between the sibling rivalry, the cries of "I'm bored", and the two little dirt tornados that kept tearing up the house, I'm very relieved school is back in session. They both are in school full days now. So I get 8 hours all to myself. Ok, well not quite, yet. It's still a been a busy week for me and I have been running errands non-stop. But next week will be much better.
And just for the record, Tye is increasingly becoming embarassed by me. When I grabbed the camera to get the shot of the walking to the bus stop, he looked at me, totally disgusted, and said "You're not going to walk down there with us, are you?"
No, I'm saving that for when you start Junior High, my son.

K & J's Wedding Day

I had the privilege of shooting a wedding back at the end of June. The best man was the brother of the groom, and last year I photographed his wedding. It was really nice because I already knew the groom's family a little, and it made gathering everyone for the photos just a bit easier.
The day was overcast off and on, and right after the ceremony it poured. But they made the best of it. And this group knows how to have fun. From a country wedding, to a bit of bar hopping, right down to some excellent cake-smashing, the whole day was a blast for me, and I wasn't even in the wedding!
The beautiful bride, who looked stunning in black...

I love this shot!

The cake smashing was done superbly!

3 sweet kids with the bluest eyes ever!

(Click on the photos to enlarge)

Thanks for letting me photograph you, sweet little things!
I have a few more sessions done that I would like to post, but I'm still very busy and just don't have the time to make previews right now. I will come back soon though I promise!

Twice as nice

Here are the twins, K. & O., from the previous sneak peek. They were incredibly tiny, with K. weighing in at just over 6 lbs. She looks big here, but remember her little twin is only just over 4 lbs. in this photo.

We had a very hard time getting them both to sleep at the same time, so I didn't get very many "together" shots, but I got lots of individual shots...

I think she looks like a porcelain doll here...

I love how these last 2 turned out. I can see them hanging as artwork, facing each other.
