I have been busy!

I have been very busy with photoshoots this month!Its been so fun!
Here are a few shots from this weekend. Aren't these girls sweet? Thay are sisters, ages 3 and 6. I love that red hair!

Forgot one...

I forgot to add this story board I made with the first birthday cake photos. She was a mess and went straight into the bath when she was done, but really seemed to enjoy herself! (Click on photo to enlarge)

One year old

We went up to her room for some playtime. This is the sort of thing I have been wanting to try for a while.





Jessica asked me to try to make a Warhol-style print also. I used this photograph, and after many attemps, I finally figured it out!

Got a new lens

practicI got a lens (50mm 1.8) off Ebay and tried it out today. The point of it is to get a better depth of field, or softness to the photo. Here's two of Bodie as an example. His eyes are in focus but the further away from the center of the photo you get, the softer and more blurred it becomes. It will be a nice addition for portraits. I need to manually focus it on my camera, and I'm sure I will get better with the focusing with more practice.

About Motherhood

I really love being a mother. It's the thing I never knew I always wanted. My boys are the reason I wake up and climb out of bed everyday. Even the days I really wish I could stay in bed til noon. But somedays I get really lucky and they crawl into bed and snuggle with me. Those are the best days. The days that I get notes and poems are incredibly special too! Tye wrote this one for me at school for Mother's Day:

Tye had his spring concert last night. He is in the red shirt. He was worried about the girl on his left, as she was feeling very faint. She made it through the performance though. All the kids did a great job and I love this song!

Kerri's family

We had to reschedule this shoot several time because of bad weather. But we finally were able to do it Tuesday. I love the bright colors she chose!

I told the boys they would have to kiss each other. They thought about it for half a second then cracked up!

O. is so adorable, and was wonderful to work with. He's a lucky boy to have such loving parents!
