The Youngest Toehead

This is Melanie's youngest. He's a spitfire. When he and my youngest, Bodie, get together, all the boyish chaos in the world ensues. They wrestle and chase each other around, and crack jokes about their "boy parts" and burp the whole time.
But this little guy is really sweet and a charmer, too. And I love his laugh!

The Middle Blonde

My friend, Melanie has 3 kids. The post before this one is of her oldest. This one is of her youngest daughter, the middle child.
She is gorgeous for a girl of 13. I have never known such a calm, mature, collected 13 year-old who was so sure of herself. She is comfortable in her own skin, which is something most of us still strive for. She amazes me.

Blonde Beauty

She is the oldest daughter my friend Melanie. She is sassy & has a great sense of humor. At 16, she is beautiful, more than she knows. Inside and out.

Clone Wars

Today the boys were lucky enough to host a Cartoon Network Clone Wars premiere party. Through HouseParty.com, I signed up to host the party. We were one of 2000 households to hold this particular party. And we had a blast.
Last week we recieved a box with party favors and we got a few extra at Target's dollar spot. We also got a DVD of the first episode of the show to watch a week before it airs. All the kids were excited. The boys also wore the costumes they will be wearing for Halloween. Tye is Jenga Fett and Bodie is Anakin Skywalker. The photo is of Tye during the show. (I hate using a flash indoors, but it had to be done.)

B&B in the field, and in the alleys

I love when I get to do a session like this, just 2 little girls being themselves. Silly and sweet...

With their mommy...

Sassy!

The Kings

This family was gracious enough to let me do a re-shoot of them. I had taken some photos of them during a big family reunion shoot, but theors did not turn out as well as the others. I was much more pleased with these ones.

Favorite shot:

Brothers

From a session this summer...

...making guns with their fingers...
...and wrestling.
Does it get better than that?

It's Back to School Time!

And I'm doing a happy little jig! This was the beautiful sight that brought a small, joyful tear to my eye Tuesday morning:

Here they are in the new duds. Apparently choosing the right outfits for the first day is still as important as when I was a kid.
Between the sibling rivalry, the cries of "I'm bored", and the two little dirt tornados that kept tearing up the house, I'm very relieved school is back in session. They both are in school full days now. So I get 8 hours all to myself. Ok, well not quite, yet. It's still a been a busy week for me and I have been running errands non-stop. But next week will be much better.
And just for the record, Tye is increasingly becoming embarassed by me. When I grabbed the camera to get the shot of the walking to the bus stop, he looked at me, totally disgusted, and said "You're not going to walk down there with us, are you?"
No, I'm saving that for when you start Junior High, my son.
