Officially a Soccer Mom

Tomorrow is Tye's first game. I hope he doesn't get rained out. It's been raining here all weekand and he is so excited. He looks pretty cute in his gear, especially the shin guards.
I have been busy this week, aside from soccer practice, and work. I finished 2 layouts and 2 altered lunchboxes. I made 1 lunchbox, then was comissioned to make another for a wedding gift. Here is the Recipe Box I made using the new Crate paper for the gift. I haven't taken pictures of the other one yet.

The other night Bodie had and accident in his pants. The thought he just had to fart, but got a suprise intstead. He was mortified! I tried to calm him, telling him it happens to everyone sometime. I told him there was even a funny name for it- a shart (shit+fart= shart). I told him he could not repeat those words, but the accident was not something to worry about.

The next day, he tells his grandma and Uncle James he had an accident the night before.

"When you were sleeping?", she asked.

"No." Then a slight pause. "Grandma, do you know what happens when you fart and shit?"

Grandma and James are curious.

"You get a SHARK!" Grandma and James laugh so hard they almost have and accident. He had a shark in his pants.

I think something gets lost in the translation.

Jumpin'!

Things are Jumpin' here, literally. We set up the trampoline for the boys this weekend, and got the net for it yesterday. They have been having a blast!
They are doing flips and my sister, Mallory, even came over and go on with them.

I also posted a new layout on ebay and will get one more on tomorrow hopefully. Click on the photo to see the listing.

Dental Visit

What a day. I took Bodie over to Rochester for a dentist appointment to fix his fixed tooth and 2 cavities. When he was 2 he ran teeth first into Tye's forehead. Tye has a little scar, and Bodie hurt his two front teeth. One started to turn gray, so I knew it was probably a goner. But we waited to see what would happen. Then in November, he chipped one of the teeth when he jupmed off my bed.
I took him to the dentist to see what could be done. He apparently he had a cavity on the back of each front tooth. The chip happened at the weak spot from the cavity. The denist in town recommended we take him over to a pediatric dentist in Rochester.
Dr. Sitzer is wonderful. He and his staff are able to get Bodie to go in the room and hop in the chair by himself, and that is saying a lot, because Bodie is scared to death of strangers. After we missed our appointment in March because of snow, we finally made it over today.
Unfortunately, it was too late for one of the teeth (the one that had turned gray). So it was pulled this morning. Bodie was a trooper, and didn't cry a bit. He is actually really excited that the Tooth Fairy is coming. I sure didn't expect it this soon, but I think that fairy will be feeling very generous tonight.
It will take a while to get used to this smile, but it really fits him and his personality. I'm actually surprised he didn't lose teeth sooner. He is such a daredevil. And I'm just thankful for everyday that passes that we don't have to deal with casts, stitches, and doctors!

Back to our regularly scheduled chaos...

Spring break is over and we are trying to get back on schedule. Daylight savings has the boys all screwed-up, and me too.
This weekend the boys stayed at grandma's house overnight, so it was a chance for John and I to go do something grown-up. Though I'm sad I missed taking the boys to see Ice Age 2 (they went with Grandma), it was sure nice to go have some fun. We went to the casino and came out $48 ahead. Even though we were still home by 11pm, we enjoyed ourselves.
Now its back to the grind.
Here are my latest ebay layouts:
