Eric's girls

First, I am so excited that we leave in less than two weeks for Orlando. My friend, Melanie and I are taking our boys down to visit Disney and Universal. I have been looking forward to this for months and can't believe its almost here! The boys and I have never been there and I'm so excited to make great memories with my guys.
Can you believe I still haven't posted a lot of sessions from last fall?
I first met Eric in the fall of 2007 when I photographed him with his daughters. The following year, I came back and met his soon-to-be fiancee, Julie. The following Valentine's Day, they were married, and I got to photograph their wedding. I was invited back again this last September for their annual session. After spending so much time with them, they are no just clients, but friends, and I love spending the evening with them each time.

I ran into Eric and Julie, sans kiddos, just after Christmas. It was so nice to just bump into and chat with them, seeing them enjoying each other's company. Two people more made for each other cannot be found anywhere. They are so adorable.

As February ends...

...I find myself very busy again. I'm trying to finish up the school yearbook for the kids. I have been just plain busy with the kids. I was able to do our good deed to get tickets for our upcoming Disney trip. And I finally was able to photograph a few people who have been waiting patiently for a long time for the weather to get warm enough to get some photos, which now I have to edit.

Bodie has been testing me at every turn lately. He has been rebellious, mouthy, stubborn, and comical all at the same time. When he sets his mind not to do something, he simply will no be convinced to do it. But when he finds something he really wants to do, he will find a way. On President's Day, he got it in his head he wanted to take a bath. The only problem is our bathroom is still under construction (that's another story for another time) and we currently do not have a tub. Actually, we have a very nice claw foot tub, but it's outside, next to the garage.
Bodie and John came up with an idea John refers to as the "redneck bathtub". He put an empty Rubbermaid storage bin in the shower stall and filled it with soap and water. Instant tub. And we had one very happy Bodie.

My poor redneck child. Ugh.
While Bodie was getting his bath, my brother-in-law, James, and his girlfriend Misty, came over with exciting news. They went ring shopping and she got a beautiful engagement ring. They have not set a date or anything, but I am very excited for them and the prospect of not only gaining a sister-in-law, but also a niece and nephew. I hope i get to take some engagement photos of them soon.
In the meantime, I'm posting these photos of Heather and Justin, taken on a very cold day last fall. They are getting hitched this August and I will be photographing their wedding, too.

I love this shot in the entrance to a tunnel...

...but this one is definitely a keeper.
