I like to take my kid to the ER....no, not really. But I did have to take Tye the other night. He, John and Bodie were all playing baseball in the backyeard. Tye was standing too close to Bodie when Bodie was batting, and got hit in the hand. It sounded like Bodie hit a rock! I took him in just to make sure it wasn't broken. They said he might have a hairline crack in his thumb, but nothing to worry about, nothing big enough to cast or splint. It did turned pretty purple.
I bet when baseball season starts, he will not stand so close to a batter!

No dribbling in the house!
John re-inflated the basketball for Bodie yesterday, and he has been driving me nuts ever since. He is dribbling all over the house, pounding on the hardwood floors. That ball might meet a terrible fate tonight. It may invovle something sharp.
I hope the grandmas notice he got a haircut yesterday, too. He can now see, and no longer resembles a sheepdog.

Soon-to-be-sisters-in-law
Last weekend, Lo and I went up to the cities to see Lara, our brother's fiance, and her sister Lynn. Both were coaching volleyball teams and were in town for a big tournament. We had a great time. It was our first chance to meet Lynn. They are both great, and I can't wait to have them as sisters-in law!
The images are poor quality. We were in the convention center, and the lighting was bad, but I also had to shoot acroos the court for these. Anyway here they are:
The tall and beautiful Lara-ok, she is eating a bagel between games, but this was the only photo I got of her looking at me.
And the tall and beautiful Lynn-coaching her team.
Also, I did get a haircut this week, about 3 inches off. See the new profile photo to the right--------------------->>>>

Please notice...
...the lack of training wheels!
Yep, he can ride. I was working with him for a long time yesterday afternoon, and ended up with such a sore back from crouching to hold the bike seat to steady him. He would go about 10-20 feet and jump off before falling over. But John was able to get him to go the distance today. So, of course, dad gets all the credit...so typical.
I'll leave you with one of Tye. I love the evening light in this photo.
