Alley Ways

This is what I'm working on now. We took these downtown in the alleys. Trying to apply a lot of effects. Thanks to these kids. They were great models!

2nd time around

This little guy is one of the babies I photographed last week. We tried again to get a few naked shots. We were trying for some with his eyes open, but he didn't cooperate too well. He is just over a week old, so I guess that is to be expected.

Family of 3, about to be 4

I did a quick shoot today of Carrie and her family.

She is delivering tomorrow and I will be photographing the baby next week. The little guy is 2 and so sweet, so well behaved. I told Carrie to show me her belly, but her son thought I was talking to him...
I asked him to listen to the baby. He said he could hear Elmo!
Something sweet...
And every boy needs a picture with daddy.

Spring Break Day 4

We jaunted over to Rochester today for a bit of shopping. It was a gorgeous day, about 75 degrees. The most perfect weather we could ask for in March. We stopped to see the geese at Silver Lake.

We came home and went for a bike ride and a bit of play at the park, a taste of summer to come.

I love this picture of Tye and his friend. Just as I took this, she was saying to him "EEWWWW, we are married!" Apparently, you are married if you swing in unison. It was so funny!

Spring Break Day 2 & 3

Saturday I went to the Studio Getaway crop and made 2 pages. I always have a great time. I will post the pages I made later.

Lo and Nicki came over last night and we rented Cooking Mama Cook-Off for the Wii. It is fun! Totally Japanese gameshow style.
Today James brought his new dog, Larry, over. John keeps saying how cute he is, but I'm not convinced. Bulldogs are not cute to me. I will admit, though, he has a pretty sweet personality.
I took Tye today to get new shoes. He wanted the Croc-like shoes from Payless. We got some for Bodie too. On the way to the store he asked me when the Res-i-nots Festival is because he would like to go. I had to ask him to say it twice. I guess we will have to go to the Renaissance Festival this year:)

Muddy Fun

Spring Break Day 1
Today was the first day of Spring Break for the boys. Today is the end of quarter, and they have all next week off, too. We went out to Kerri's today, so the boys could play with her 3 boys. They had a blast. It was 60 degrees and wonderful! Almost all the snow has melted, creating lots of mud. I am so exhausted from tramping through all of it.

Yes, that is Kerri on one of her boys' bikes.

Tye really likes babies, so he wanted to carry the littlest one around. Then he realized how heavy babies can be and promptly gave him back.

Tye and H wanted to snap a couple of pictures. H mostly took pics around the property (the shed, the wood, the field, and such), but Tye was shooting something different. There were no less than 20 pictures just of Bodie's rear-end! (notice I made him his own watermark, PhoTYEgraphy)

He did capture this shot though. I think its so cool!

2 Babies and a Toddler

My friend, Kathey, just became a grandma. I offered to do photos for the new little one, and his cousins were able to join in. This is the most little children I have tried to shoot at once, and it was fun! I learned a lot. Here are a few of the photos from today:

Working on some new projects

I have been trying to work on a few projects for classes and a few other things.

The first is a little thank-you. Nothing huge, but for when you need something more than a card. The stamp says "Thank You" and is from one of the sets my step-mom, Lisa, sent me, along with several other stamp sets. So I made this for her.
Next are letter albums I'll be teaching at Tri M Graphics. Students will make one of these version, but what I like about this project is that it can be personalized. You could spell almost anything, from a theme to a name.
I also finished up a project that I will be teaching for Mother's Day. I will try to get it posted this week, as well as a few cards I have made.

I have to share this!

I usually spend a lot of time surfing the other scrapper's blogs for inspiration fornew projects. I found THIS today. She was actually inspired by MY project, alcohol ink eggs. Her eggs turned out beautiful.
It is so strange when the tables are turned. I spend so much time admiring the work of others, it is hard to imagine someone out there might admire mine. This is the second time this has happened to me in as mony months, and it makes me much more confident in my creating. Thanks Vicki!

Blue Ribbon

I just thought I would give a quick update. The Science fair was postponed due to school closing for the snowstorm. We got 11 inches of snow at least. Tye was off Thursday and Friday. Sunday night he commented how cool it would be if school was cancelled Monday too, a 5-day weekend. I told him he would have school for sure, and if for some reason there was a freak storm overnight and school got cancelled, I was going to make him do schoolwork anyway. Plus lots of chores. I think he was relieved there was school...

Monday was the Science Fair. He did really well and got a blue ribbon. He scored a 91 out of 100, and the judges were very pleased with his presentation. One comment was that he understood the concept of his experiment and was able to explain it well. We are very proud of him. He worked very hard on his project. PLEASE SEE THE POST BELOW for Tye's new interest. He did Jumprope for Heart last year and really like it. He likes the idea of earning money for a good cause. He is such a compassionate kid.
He has become a social butterfly, and is constantly inviting friends over to the house. It is driving me nuts. I like his friends, but the amount of energy thesekids put out is enough to drive a certain mommy crazy. Thank God it is warming up this week and they can play outside. It should be around 50 degrees all week. Now for pictures...
Bodie up on the shed.

Here is a picture of John looking up at Bodie. I like getting him in his uniform, though he hates it in pictures.

And a few pictures of Bodie at his Kindergarten Prep class. Really enjoying this class now. I love the pictur eof his name tag. He ALWAYS writes his name in red. Sometimes we have to wait a long time until the other kids are done with the red marker. I guess blue or green aren't quite as nice...
