- I finally got this collage done of the trip in June.
- I love not working as much. I feel liberated.
- We have been picking raspberries like crazy. I love the way they smell but don't like to eat many of them.
- Tye has had many sleepovers with his friend, Issac, at his house. He has been sorely missed by Bodie when he goes.
- Isaac has spent many nights here, too.
- I finally passed the kidney stone, but did not catch it. It took exactly a month to pass.
- I'm working on some projects for the fair to demonstrate for scrapbook store.
- I love IKEA! I found great inspiration there this week.
- John has lost quite a bit riding his bike everywhere. He's down to 206 lbs.
- The weather has been in the upper 80's/lower 90's for 2 weeks but is finally cooling down now.
- Tye is becoming quite the ball player!

Birthday Boy
My baby is 4 today.
He is growing so fast! I seroisly don't know where the time has gone. He actually has always seemed like he was 4. Never really a toddler, he just went from the cradle to full speed running, jumping, and daredevil moves.
I threatened him all weekend he wasn't going to get to his birthday, because he has a serious attitude problem. He sasses at every chance and whines non-stop. He is making me crazy.
I hope it is just a short phase.
Anyway, he had a Hot Wheels cake of course, and got lots of toys. Daddy and Aunt Rainey had more fun with the Nerf guns than the boys, though.

A Jurassic Park
Yesterday we went to a dinosaur park with the boys. They had a blast. It was one of those off the main road places, that you can tell someone set up years ago. Not very realistic to adults, but fun none the less.
Today I went with my great aunt and uncle to the Holocaust museum in D.C. It was very sobering, and I learned much more than I ever wanted to know.

Stoned and trippin'
This vacation sure didn't start out as planned. I ended up in the ER the night before we planned to leave with another kidney stone. This time it is bigger than any I've had yet, and they kept me in overnight. I was in so much pain. I really hate these things. I was put on an IV with a drip, so I was comfortably drugged up all night. I was getting very worried though that I would have to miss this trip.
We have been planning this for months, and I already had a bad Thanksgiving and Christmas from stones. I decided I would just buck up and tough it out in the car. I didn't have anything packed when the hospital released me Wednesday afternoon. John helped me throw a bunch of stuff together and we were on the road about 3 hours behind schedule.
We spent 2 and a half days in the car, but are finally in Charlotte. The boys were very good for having to sit so long. Thank God for DVD players. John's uncles from Texas are here too, and Jessica's graduation is Monday. This should be a fun weekend! We will spend 3 more days here before we head up to Virginia to visit my dad. In the mean time, I will try to enjoy the company here and get rid of this stone.
